Middle School Children Need Shots too!

ATTENTION incomming 7th GRADE PARENTS

Immunizations protect our children from many childhood diseases. These immunizations are free at the Health Department, or you can get them through your child’s Pediatrician. In the past, many childhood diseases took a terrible toll on the children of our community, but that has changed dramatically as a direct result of childhood immunizations. But immunizations are not just a good idea – Florida law requires them for all students attending school.

Remember, all students going into 7th grade must have a Td Booster with Pertusis (TDaP) shot before they can start 7th grade. If your child has already received the TDaP booster, be sure to send/bring a copy of the updated shot records to the school. If he/she still needs the TdAp booster, make plans to get the shot over the summer and send/bring a copy of the updated record to the school.

Students will not receive their class schedules during registration on August 9, 2016, if they have not provided the school with proof of the vaccine. If the required documents are not received by August 15, 2016 your child will be excluded from school.
